Recent NOTD: Grey Ombre

I am back from my trip; it was a lot of fun and rather exhausting! I didn't change my nail polish quite as often as last year but did sport a few different looks that I'll share once I get time to get the photos off my camera. Right now, I've got a mani I wore last week before I left, one I was inspired to do when I was reviewing photos from last year's trip. It's a grey creme ombre:

I think the thumb color might be a bit too light compared to the others, but that's okay since it's not right next to them most of the time when my hands are out in the real world. I do very much like the gradation of values on the other four fingers.

These are the polishes I used (light to dark): Revlon Silver, BYS Shadow Puppets, China Glaze Recycle, GOSH Miss Grey, Ulta Black Lace. I'll have to update this later with how many coats I used; that information is in my little nail polish notebook, which went on my trip with me but didn't get unpacked and back to its proper place yet. [Update: Revlon was 3 coats, BYS was 4, China Glaze 2, GOSH 2, Ulta 2—this last was Black Lace, not Underground as I wrote originally; obviously I really need my notebook.]

I didn't realize when I was putting this on that it pretty much matched the carpet in my office (the light in there has a really warm cast to it thus the color changes from above).
