Gossip Girl begins filming in New York for final series

The, what is rumored to be the last the last, series of Gossip Girl has just started filming on the streets of New York this week ready for their Autumn start. I keep hearing mixed reports that this is or is not the last series.
Either way, it will be good to finally have something on TV to watch! Since Mad Men and Gossip Girl AND House finished - I don't know what to do with myself!
