It is now rumored that Phoebe Philo will exit Celiné after an eight year run at the house. This will apparently take place after the designer is finished making the AW16 collection. It started back in August last year when rumors started circulating that Philo was looking for a way out of the LVMH owned company. Apparently the creative director is in talks with another house, Richement, who own Alaia.
Its been a weird few months for designers as Lanvin parted company with Elbaz, Stefano Pilati left Zegna and also Raf Simons at Christian Dior. Not to mention the rumors about YSL and Hedi Slimane splitting over 'creative differences' which are still going strong. Lets not forget some designers closed their companies this year as well such as Jonathon Saunders.
UPDATE : WWD have received a leaked memo which states that Celiné and Philo will not be parting. Alaia have also denied the rumor is true.
